My Experience
I have a wide range of experience working with children in education including tutoring, TA work with SEN children, teaching ESOL and cycle instructing.
Most of my experience in education has been from working as a private tutor of Maths and English in Essex since 2014, and I'm familiar with the national curriculum for these subjects up to GCSE. I also prepare children for the 11 Plus entry exams.
My approach:
Identify the children's gaps in knowledge that need addressing the most.
Adapt lessons to the children's learning needs and preferences.
Engaging the children in learning activities to practise what has been learnt until proficient.
Foster an independent mindset when it comes to learning where the aim is to boost confidence in learners.
Routinely monitoring progress to make sure targets are being met.
