My Experience

Through my current career as a Primary Teacher, I have developed considerable experience of working with, caring for and educating children aged from 4 years to 12 years old. I have a wealth of experience of planning activities that support children’s development and wellbeing, both in terms of progressing their curriculum learning and also their personal skills. Valuing every child’s individuality has always been at the heart of my practice and I strive to find opportunities to explore each child’s interests in a way which inspires individual passions and encourages motivation for learning.

My approach has been described as ‘exuding calmness’, particularly when faced with challenging situations. I am naturally a highly organised individual and I am used to juggling multiple, high priority tasks. Organising routines to ensure everything is done within the busy day is an essential skill I have developed within my current career to ensure everyone is in the right place at the right time!

I enjoy taking opportunities to ‘learn outside of the classroom’ through forest school activities, nature exploration, messy play and real-life situations in shops, coffee shops and transport to enable children to apply their learning.
