About Me
I am an experienced and dedicated teacher with over 10 years in education, currently working as an Assistant Headteacher, SENCO, and class teacher in a primary school in Litherland, Liverpool. Alongside my school role, I have been a private tutor since 2016, specialising in maths from primary level up to GCSE (my main specialism).
I am passionate about helping children grow in confidence as well as ability. I understand that many students can feel anxious about maths, so I focus on breaking learning down into clear, manageable steps and building a positive mindset. My sessions are supportive, structured, and tailored to each child so they feel comfortable, motivated, and successful.
As a SENCO, I have extensive experience working with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities and supporting children with SEMH needs. I adapt my teaching to suit each learner, ensuring sessions are engaging, accessible, and personalised.
I offer both online and face-to-face tutoring in the Liverpool area, with flexible sessions designed around your child’s needs.
My Experience
I have over a decade of teaching and tutoring experience across all primary year groups, with the last four years specialising in Year 6. This gives me a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and how to effectively prepare pupils for SATs, both academically and emotionally.
Alongside this, I have significant experience and qualifications in teaching and tutoring GCSE maths at both foundation and higher levels. I focus on building understanding, closing gaps in knowledge, and improving exam technique—helping students make clear progress and feel more confident approaching exams.
Since 2016, I have successfully tutored many students across Liverpool. I have supported pupils in improving by multiple GCSE grades, achieving strong SATs results, and gaining places at selective schools, including passing the Bluecoat entrance exam.
My role as SENCO and Assistant Headteacher has strengthened my expertise in adaptive teaching. I am skilled at identifying individual learning needs and adjusting my approach to ensure every child can succeed, regardless of their starting point.
My Qualifications
I hold a First Class BAEd (Hons) in Primary Teaching and Mathematics from Liverpool Hope University, giving me both strong subject knowledge and expert teaching skills.
I also achieved Grade A in A Level Maths, Human Biology, Chemistry, and Drama, providing a solid academic foundation—particularly in mathematics, which I continue to specialise in today.
I also hold multiple qualifications in SEND and adaptive teaching techniques.

- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
£30 per hour for Private Tutoring
£10 per hour for babysitting one child - an additional £2 per child, per hour
