About Me
I am a primary school teacher in South Liverpool. I have worked as a private tutor since 2016 specialising in maths up to higher, GCSE level, Year 6 SATS, and entrance exam preparation. I have a duel degree in mathematics and primary teaching from Liverpool Hope University and have an advanced, in-depth understanding of the maths curriculum from early years up to GCSE level - my specialism is GCSE maths.
I have experience working with children with different learning needs and would be able to adapt sessions to suit individual needs.
I offer online and face-to-face sessions locally.
My Experience
I have been working in Year 6 for the last three years but have teaching experience across all primary year groups. I also have advanced knowledge (including a degree and A-level) in mathematics.
I have successfully tutored multiple students in Liverpool for GCSE maths, SATS preparation and entrance exams. I have had multiple students successfully get through the Bluecoat Entrance exam and move up multiple grade scales in their GCSE maths. As a Year 6 teacher I also have experience of teaching the KS2 curriculum and methods to prepare children for the KS2 SATS.
As a teacher in an inclusive primary school specialising in SEND, I have worked with children with different learning needs and ASD. I have developed methods and approaches to appeal to different and unique learning needs and I have an understanding of adaptive teaching that could be implemented in tutoring sessions if required.
My Qualifications
Grade A, A level's in maths, human biology, chemistry and drama.
