I’m Erin, I’m 22 and originally from Edinburgh. I graduated from the University of Glasgow in June last year with a 2:1 in Common Law & Spanish, currently living and working in London as a Government Relations intern with TfL. As someone with this experience, I’ve learned that it’s good to get to know the kids I’m taking care of to create a comfortable and stimulating environment for them. As such, I can offer relaxed, casual babysitting/tutoring services or tailor activities to benefit both kids and parents. As I work 9-5, Monday-Friday I’m available from 6pm-11pm weeknights, and can negotiate times on weekends.
My Experience
Throughout school and University, I’ve worked as a casual babysitter and 121 tutor - primarily teaching history, Spanish, English, biology, religious studies, modern studies and politics. My most recent job in childcare/education was as an Activity Leader & and mentor with St. Andrews College Language schools, where I taught children from Spain, Italy, France and Ukraine english through a variety of educational outlets. I trained in first aid as part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, and earned money in University by applying my experience education and childcare skills to tutor local children. I kept this up on my year abroad in Alcalá de Henares, Spain where I tutored local children in conversational and academic English. I’m proud to say that I’m still in contact with some of the kids I taught, who now attend University in the UK at world-renowned educational institutions.
