Hi my name is April. I currently live in Morley in Leeds. I love working with children of all ages, being creative, having lots of fun and letting their imagination go wild. I am a fun, bubbly, helpful person who is always up for anything. I am obsessed with all things disney, I love doing arts and crafts and as a trainee teacher (who’s mum is also a teacher) I can help out with school work as well. I am DBS qualified and due to working in a school I have had a lot of safeguarding training as well.
My Experience
I worked as a teaching assistant for over 3 years, working with a variety of ages from nursery to Year 4. I have a lot of SEND experience as I was a SEND TA mainly and I have an autistic brother so have many years of experience and knowledge. I am currently studying to become a teacher and have already spent 8 weeks working in a primary school for placement. I also worked as a dance teacher at my dance school for over 6 years working with children aged 3-12.
My Qualifications
DBS qualified
BTEC extended diploma in Performing arts (dance)
Achieved a B in both English and Maths GCSE
My Availability
I am free all summer starting from the 20th of July and won’t be back at university until 16th of September.
I am free mostly every weekend.
I also have 2 weeks in May when I am free starting the 23rd and finishing the 2nd of June
