Esi
Doula in London
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Esther, but most people call me Esi. I’m a birth and postnatal doula in training, childbirth educator, and the founder of Mwasi | Mama, a space created to support women through their personal womanhood journey, pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood with compassion, clarity, and steadiness.
I became a doula after hearing too many stories from loved ones who felt unseen, unheard or unsupported during birth. Something in me knew I wanted to offer a different kind of care. One rooted in calm advocacy, thoughtful preparation, and genuine human connection.
I’ve now spent the last three years supporting families, including many women considered vulnerable, and those experiences have shaped my practice into one that is nurturing, steady, trauma-aware and deeply respectful of each person’s journey.
My Approach
You deserve to feel confident, informed and emotionally held; not overwhelmed, dismissed or pressured.
My role is to be a grounding presence: someone who listens fully, supports your choices, and helps you feel at home in your body and your birth space.
Whether we’re unpacking your birth preferences, practising comfort techniques, planning postpartum care, or navigating unexpected changes, I aim to bring a calm, anchored energy into your experience. With me, you’re never doing this alone.
Who I Support
I offer care that is warm, steady and adaptable to many different needs. I welcome and support:
First-time mums wanting guidance and a reassuring presence
Women healing from previous birth trauma, who benefit from sensitive, grounded support
Families planning home births, seeking calm continuity
Parents preparing for planned or elective caesareans, wanting emotional and practical stability
Women navigating complex pregnancies, who value non-judgmental, consistent care
Anyone wanting an advocate in the room, ensuring they feel respected and fully informed
My background working closely with vulnerable women means I’m comfortable supporting people through uncertainty, fear, joy, transition, all of it.
Whatever your story or your preferences, I’m here to meet you exactly where you are.
Postnatal Support
I offer gentle, non-medical postnatal doula support for families during the early weeks after birth. My care is calm, nurturing, and trauma-aware, focused on helping you rest, recover and find your rhythm with your new baby. I provide emotional reassurance, newborn care and feeding support (breast, bottle or combination), space to process birth experiences, and light practical help to ease the day-to-day load. I also offer nighttime support to help parents feel more rested and held. My role is to support you in feeling respected, steady and supported as you transition into early parenthood, alongside care from midwives and health visitors.
