About Me
My name is Charlotte and I am a student at University of Glasgow, where I am studying physics with astrophysics, having relocated from Northern Ireland last year. I am a calm, caring and attentive person who can provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment for the children under my care. I have experience caring for children from toddlers to teens, adapting my style according to the needs of the child or children. I enjoy going for walks, doing arts & crafts, singing, dancing, reading with the children and other relaxing activities especially before bedtime.
As a volunteer ski coach with Special Olympics Ireland, I also have experience working with children and young adults with complex additional needs. I have undergone a safeguarding course and recent DBS check.
I am very flexible, and available to assist parents if they have to work/study from home or want a few hours to themselves. I can help by doing school pick-ups and drop offs if school or nursery is within walking distance. I always follow instructions and guidance of the parents in order that the normal routine is followed. Whilst completing my A Levels I also tutored maths and science.
My Experience
I am part of a large extended family so have plenty of experience looking after nephews, nieces and cousins. I have experience babysitting as well as tutoring maths and science to primary and secondary pupils. When I am in France staying with my parents, I regularly babysit for families who come to the area to go skiing.
My Qualifications
A Levels - Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Politics.
Safeguarding Certificate.
My Availability
During term-time, I am available evenings, weekends and sometimes during the day when my lecture timetable permits. Now that University has finished for summer I am available most days, evenings and weekends.
