Hi, I’m Chioma. I’m patient, reliable and easy to get along with. I’m the type of person who can talk to anyone, and I take a genuine interest in getting to know people and building good relationships. I’m caring, calm and approachable, and I always try to make sure children feel comfortable, safe and able to be themselves.
I also have a small toy poodle puppy called Chuku, so I’m very comfortable around dogs. For dog-friendly families, I’d be happy to discuss bringing him along where appropriate.
My Experience
I’m a social care worker originally from Ireland, and I moved to Leeds in September to study Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I have experience working with children and young people in schools, youth work, family support, childcare and social care.
I have supported children with additional needs, including SEN and social, emotional and mental health needs. My experience has involved helping with learning, activities, routines, emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour, while making sure children feel safe, understood and comfortable.
My Qualifications
I’ve worked in different childcare sections including after school club, babysitting, summer camp work and youth care programmes
My Availability
Please note that my availability is limited to the summer period, as I will be returning to Ireland for the school term in the fall.
