My Summary
Primary Sen Tutor & Learning Mentor | Autism, Adhd, Anxiety & Home Education Support
About Me
Hello! I'm Sarah, an experienced SEN tutor and learning mentor based in Surrey. I specialise in supporting primary-aged children, particularly those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, school avoidance, and other additional needs.
Over the past year, I have worked closely with a range of neurodiverse children, including pupils educated outside mainstream school settings. My role goes beyond tutoring alone – I help children build confidence, develop emotional regulation skills, and re-engage with learning in a way that feels safe, achievable, and enjoyable.
I understand that every child learns differently. Some children need structure and routine, while others benefit from creativity, movement, sensory strategies, or simply having a trusted adult who understands their challenges. I take the time to get to know each child and tailor sessions to their individual strengths, interests, and needs.
My background includes primary teacher training, one-to-one SEN support within schools, early years education, and ongoing work with children and families across Surrey. I am passionate about creating positive learning experiences that help children feel successful, understood, and confident in themselves.
Whether your child needs support with literacy, maths, confidence-building, emotional wellbeing, home education, or simply a different approach to learning, I would be delighted to help.
When I'm not working with children, I enjoy writing children's stories, spending time in nature, practising Reiki, and leading Girlguiding activities. My aim is always the same: to help children grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and enjoy learning again.
