Hey, I'm Lizzie, I'm a registered childminder and I offer a cosy, home from home setting where your little ones can learn without knowing it.
Our days follow the little ones interests and some of the things we get up to include visiting the library, local nature walks, going to Wheelgate, teddy bear picnics, lots of crafts and messy play, singing, yoga and reading and lots more.
I follow the danish principles of Hygge within the setting which focus’s on warmth, security and wellbeing, allowing a child to follow their current needs and interests in order to learn and grow with confidence. I am also part of the Forest Childcare Association, which focus' on ensuring that the little ones get lots of opportunities to explore outside come rain or shine!
In our home is myself, my husband Steve who is my registered assistant - our three girls 8, 6 and 4, Douglas and Luna our cats, and Beaux our new puppy. Our pets all love kids and the children are all taught to be gentle with them, Beaux, being a puppy, is only given supervised contact with the little ones.
My Experience
I've been a mum for 8 years now, and I've been lucky enough to spend 5 of those at home with my girls. I’ve previously worked with children on a voluntary basis as well as a number of years as a babysitter.
I'm currently studying for my degree in child psychology as well as my level 3 qualification.

My Availability
I'm available Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm with term time only spaces and some limited all year spaces for birth to 5 years.
I accept various funding options including the new government funding from 9 months old, tax free childcare & student finance. If you're unsure please just ask.
