My Summary
Ofsted Good, Family-Run Childcare In Crofton
About Me
We’re Adrienne and Paul, a husband-and-wife childminding team and parents ourselves.
We’re not trying to recreate a nursery in our house. We offer something different: a small group of children, the same familiar adults each day and care that feels part of ordinary family life. We get to know the little things—favourite stories, how each child likes to settle for a nap, what makes them laugh and when they need a quieter moment.
The three things that matter most to us are independence, nature and kindness. Children are encouraged to make choices, serve food, use cutlery, put on their coats and feel proud of what they can do for themselves. We spend time outdoors in every season and help children learn how to understand their feelings, resolve little fallouts and care for one another.
We work closely with parents and make time to talk properly about how each child is settling, developing and enjoying their time with us.
My Experience
I’m a mum of five and run Tiny Treasures Childcare with my husband, Paul. We opened our home-based setting in Crofton in 2024 and were graded Good at our first Ofsted inspection.
We care for a small group of children from birth to four years old. Having fewer children means we get to know each one properly—their favourite stories and activities, how they like to settle for a nap, what makes them laugh and when they might need a cuddle or a quieter moment.
Our approach is based around independence, nature and kindness. We encourage children to have a go at practical skills such as serving food, using cutlery, putting on their coats and helping to tidy up. We spend time outdoors throughout the year and help children learn to recognise their feelings, care for others and work through little disagreements.
I also believe strongly in working closely with parents. We make time to talk about how each child is settling, what they have enjoyed and how they are developing, so that families feel involved in their child’s time with us.

Reviews
Parents say
Parents praise the childminder for creating a warm, home-from-home environment where children settle quickly and thrive. Daily updates with photos and videos provide reassurance, whilst the personalised care and outdoor activities support excellent development. However, one parent experienced poor communication during the initial enquiry process. Overall, the service comes highly recommended.

Leaving your 9-month-old with someone else for the first time is honestly so hard but from day one Adrienne and Paul made the whole transition so much easier for us.
I was incredibly nervous about returning to work and leaving my little boy so young, but Adrienne instantly put me at ease. In the beginning there were a few tears at drop-off (from both of us) but that phase only lasted a couple of weeks. Now he happily waves us goodbye from Adrienne’s arms.
The updates we receive every single day are amazing. We get pictures, videos, updates on what he’s eaten, how much he’s eaten, and how much he’s slept and at what times.
I genuinely couldn’t recommend Tiny Treasures enough. Going from spending every day together during maternity leave to returning to work was such a huge change for me, but knowing my son is with people who care for him so well has made all the difference.
He’s made his first little friends there, and it’s been amazing watching his confidence and development grow so much.
We truly feel so lucky to have found Adrienne and Paul.
We would like to thank you so much.

We had an initial discussion and took my son to view the setting. He seemed really happy there and we were told there was availability, but I didn’t receive further communication after follow-up messages. I understand if circumstances change, it would have been courteous to state as such, rather than ignore messages.
My son was very confused as to why he wasn’t able to attend the setting again.

I sent my Son to Rosie after sending him to a Nursery setting and didn’t feel it was right for him. As soon as I went to look around I knew it was the perfect place for him, she made us feel so welcome and treats my son like her own child.
I was nervous to send him at first because he is quite clingy and didn’t know how he would cope. I get so many updates of him laughing and playing and it is so nice to see. I feel totaly at ease him going here.
I would 100% recommend Rosie and Paul the best around!

My son was being taken care of by family whilst we worked so it was important for us to find a place that had a homely feel and someone who we felt our son would seek comfort from if he needed it.
A few weeks before we chose this setting I had taken my son to a play group where other childminders had taken children and Adrienne and Paul were also there, out of all the childminders present Adrienne and Paul were the only ones who played and interacted with the children, the others sat drinking tea and talking to adults. After meeting Adrienne and Paul in their family home we both knew this was the setting for him. We particularly liked the fully equipped garden for lots of outdoor playing as our son loves being outdoors. He comes out with a full tummy, a smile on his face and lots to tell about his day, we can't ask for anymore than that!
Adrienne and paul make a wonderful team and our son adores them both (and their own family!) They will be the first and only choice when I recommend a childcare service

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found this amazing childcare service for our 2-year-old daughter. Initially, we were apprehensive about sending her to daycare at such a young age, but our worries were swiftly put to rest. The moment she started, she settled in immediately and now, she absolutely loves going!
What truly sets this childcare provider apart is the "home from home" experience they offer. They have created an environment where our daughter feels comfortable and cared for, making the transition away from home so much easier.
We receive regular updates throughout the day, complete with pictures of all the different activities she participates in. It's clear that they have taken the time to get to know her as an individual, not just another child in their care. This personal touch means the world to us as parents.
Knowing that our daughter has settled in so well gives us immense reassurance. We cannot thank the Tiny Treasures enough for the exceptional care they provide. If you're looking for a childcare service that feels more personable than a larger, mainstream provider, we highly recommend this one. They have truly exceeded our expectations in every way.
Thank you once again for all that you do!

I would recommend Adrienne and Paul to anyone! Our son started in January 2025 and within a couple of weeks we couldn’t believe his development. Adrienne really takes into account what our Son likes and takes him and the rest of the kids all over so they aren’t stuck in one setting. It really is a home from home setting and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to send our child to Tiny Treasures. Thank you both, you always make sure my mind is at rest by sending pictures and updates throughout the day. You have my full trust and I know our son loves you both!

Our daughter (nearly 23 months) has been going to Adrienne since the beginning of 2025 after spending 2024 at a nursery. Since enquiring, we have found Adrienne nothing but professional, welcoming and engaging. She listens to us about our daughters likes and dislikes and we know that Adrienne takes these into account when planning her day. We especially like the themed weeks that take place. We trust Adrienne completely with our daughter and would 100% recommend her to anyone.
