My Summary

My Experience

As far as looking after young children goes, I have a few young cousins, aged 4 upwards, and have solely looked after them for days at a time. I have found it extremely enjoyable.

In terms of older children (aged 10+), whilst in sixth form, I did a lot of work with the year 6 students- reading with them, and helping them in their SATs preparation. I also took part in something called ‘peer mentoring’, in which I listened to any of their concerns, and helped them deal with those- whether that be academic, or in general.

I also have some experience in tutoring, as I have spent much time in the classroom, shadowing my English teacher in particular. I did some of my work experience at my sixth form, and helped teach students in year 10.

My Qualifications

In terms of childcare qualifications, I have a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, thus have built a significant understanding around the caring for children, and assisting in their development and growth.

In terms of academic qualifications, I have a GCSE grade 8 in English Language and Literature, and 7 in history. I also got A*AAB in my A-Levels, including English, History, Business Studies, and an EPQ. And in my degree, I have currently completed my first year with a First.

My Availability

I have no other jobs currently, but am studying in university full time, however, I have scheduled the days/times I would be unavailable. Other than this, I am completely a majority of the time. Thus, I am able to be quite flexible. :)
