About Me

I am a 23 year old first aid qualified, university dance graduate currently working as an SEN Teaching assistant Monday to Friday. I am also a professional dancer and teach kids/ teenagers dance/creative lessons on some evenings and most weekends. For as long as I can remember I have been an extremely active person, starting gymnastics at the age of 7 for 8 years and then moving onto athletics and then later dance. I think always taking part in a sport whilst growing up has taught me some extremely valuable lifeskills that I feel may have not been developed so easily if it wasn’t for these extracurricular activities. This has also made it very easy for me to build on new and existing relationships in allowing me to have the confidence to build on that rapport. After quitting gymnastics at age 15 I was able to go straight into coaching the younger gymnasts and that is when I knew jobs that involved working with and helping kids and those that are younger than me was the perfect job for me. After my experience there, whilst also working a part time job I also went onto various different teaching/ coaching jobs whilst undergoing my years at college and university and that is what lead me onto now working with less abled and abled young people today.
