My Experience

At the end of March 2025, I moved from Sheffield to Scarborough.

I have worked as a primary school teacher (in Sheffield) for nearly 32 years and have a wealth of experience in teaching children (including those with a range of different special needs) across all the age groups from 4-11 but over more recent years have taught juniors in upper KS2. I recently tutored a Y6 child in maths and spent some of the time practising key skills for KS2 SATs with very positive results.

I tailor the activities individually to suit your child’s needs and likes and try to make learning fun!

Since taking early retirement in 2024, I have been doing some 1:1 tutoring in maths and English. I really enjoy working with children and I also offer flexibility and can offer creative art work with kids too.

I tutor from my home as I don’t always have access to our car.
