About Me
I am a positive, smiley and caring person. I pride myself on the great relationships I build with children in my care, and the nurture and support I offer them.
I work as both a private tutor and as a nanny.
I am a single parent to two boys aged 14 & 11. I also have 3 cats!
I am Ofsted registered as a childcare provider (nanny)
I have a full paediatric first aid certificate.
My Experience
I am currently working as a nanny and a private tutor. I am a nanny for children from birth upwards, and I tutor children from age 3-10 years.
I am a highly experienced teacher of 22 years. I have taught predominately within Foundation Stage and KS1 (ages 4-7), but have also taught up to Year 6, covering classes and teaching small groups. As well as class teacher, I have also led and taught intervention groups for English and Maths and have great experience teaching phonics using various schemes.
I have previously been an Au Pair in the USA. I cared for two children aged 4 and 2 on a full-time basis. I was responsible for creating and carrying out a range of activities for them, including arts/ crafts, maths and early literacy activities, driving them to activity groups, preparing their meals, bathing them and doing their bedtime routine.
My Qualifications
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies
My Availability
I am available for part-time nanny work and for private 1-1 tuition.
