Part-Time Nanny / After-School Help – Claygate
About Me
We’re a family with two young children (aged 5 and 3), looking for a friendly, reliable and caring nanny to help ease the juggle of two working parents.
We have had a full time nanny before, so used to the structure.
We live in Claygate
My Requirements
We’re a family with two young children (aged 5 and 3), looking for a friendly, reliable and caring nanny to help ease the juggle of two working parents.
We’re flexible and considering either of the following arrangements:
Option 1 – After-school help (2–3 days per week)
* Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays
* 3:15pm–6:15pm
* Pick up both children from Claygate Primary School / nursery
* Walk or drive home
* Prepare and serve the children’s dinner
* Help with homework, reading and playtime
Option 2 – One day per week (morning and afternoon, with flexible hours in between)
* One day per week, ideally Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
* Arrive at 7:30am to help get the children ready for school and drop them off around 8:30am
* Collect both children at 3:15pm from Claygate Primary School / nursery
* Dinner, homework, reading and playtime until 6:15pm
* Ideally, some light housekeeping, tidying and family meal preparation during the school day
We’re flexible on the hours between school drop-off and pick-up. This could be a full day with housekeeping and meal preparation in between, or simply separate morning and afternoon shifts, with the middle of the day free.
We’re looking for someone warm, proactive and dependable who enjoys spending time with young children and can help make our weekdays run a little more smoothly.
We’re happy to discuss the arrangements and find something that works for both sides.
Please get in touch if you’re interested, with a little about yourself, your experience and your availability.

Pam built a genuinely warm, trusting, and positive relationship with our children, who were always happy, comfortable, and secure in her care. She has a natural authority that the children respected, combined with kindness and consistency, which meant her approach to boundaries and discipline worked extremely well.
She was also exceptionally reliable and always punctual, and she consistently showed flexibility to meet the changing needs of our family. Her many years of experience were very evident in her calm, confident approach and in the way she handled both everyday routines and more challenging moments.
Pam was proactive in keeping the children busy and engaged, regularly taking them out to activities and ensuring they had a varied and stimulating day. She also helped keep the house tidy and well-organised, which was greatly appreciated.
As parents, had a very positive, respectful, and healthy working relationship with Pam, built on clear communication and mutual trust. She is a truly excellent nanny, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to another family.
