Sarah
Babysitter in South Oxfordshire
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah!
I have recently completed my PGCE in Primary Education at Oxford Brookes University and will be starting my first teaching role this September. Before I begin, I’m looking to offer flexible, ad hoc babysitting over the summer and would love the opportunity to support local families.
Working with children has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Growing up in a family where everyone works in education and childcare inspired me to follow the same path, and I’ve always known I wanted a career helping children learn, grow and thrive.
Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to gain experience working with children in both nursery and primary school settings. I love getting to know each child’s personality and creating a fun, caring and positive environment where they feel safe, happy and confident. Whether it’s getting creative with crafts, playing games, reading stories, spending time outdoors or helping with homework and bedtime routines, I always try to make our time together enjoyable.
I’m a kind, patient and dependable person, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable leaving their children in someone else’s care. My aim is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children feel supported and parents have complete peace of mind.
I look forward to meeting you and your family!
My Experience
I have over four years experience working in a nursery, caring for and supporting children of different ages. During this time I’ve built strong relationships with children and families while helping to create a fun, safe and nurturing environment.
Alongside this, I have completed placements throughout my PGCE, giving me experience teaching in primary schools. I have also regularly babysat for families and friends, so I’m confident caring for children in a home environment as well. I enjoy planning fun activities, helping with homework, bedtime routines, and making sure children feel happy, safe and well cared for.
My Qualifications
I have completed a BA (Hons) in Education Studies at Oxford Brookes University and have recently completed my PGCE in Primary Education. I will be starting my first teaching position in September.
As part of my teacher training, I have completed safeguarding training, hold an enhanced DBS check, and have gained extensive experience working with children in both nursery and primary school settings. My studies and practical experience have given me a strong understanding of child development and how to support children’s learning, wellbeing and individual needs.
