My Requirements

Hi,

We are based in Ewell and looking for a kind, experienced nanny to help our family for one week in early August (3 Aug-7 Aug), with the possibility of future work.

I will be around 5 weeks post C-section with a newborn, the main role would be to care for our 22 months old daughter as I still won’t be able to do much lifting.

Hours needed:

Monday–Friday
* Morning: 7:00–9:00am
* Evening: 5:30–9:30pm

Ideally, we would love one nanny who can cover both the morning and evening shifts so there is consistency for our daughter. However, we’re also happy to hear from people who are only available for one of these time slots.

Our daughter can take a little time to warm up to new people, so we’re looking for someone patient, gentle and happy to let her build trust at her own pace. If possible, we’d also love to arrange one or two short visits beforehand so she can get to know you.

The main responsibilities would include:

* Playing with and caring for our toddler.
* Helping her get ready for nursery in the morning.
* Nursery drop-off and pick-up (ideally).
* Preparing and serving dinner after nursery (she usually has a very good appetite!).
* Bath time and bedtime routine.
* Preparing her nursery bag and helping keep her daily routine running smoothly.

If capacity allows, I’d also really appreciate occasional help with the newborn for short periods (for example while I shower, eat or take a short break).

We’re looking for someone who is warm, reliable and experienced with young children, and who can become a reassuring, familiar face for our daughter during what will be a big transition for our family.

Although this role is initially for one week, we’d love to keep in touch for future ad hoc help if we’re a good match. We may also be looking for a permanent nanny when I return to work.
