About Me
Hi, I'm Abena, an Ofsted-registered and fully insured childminder with an enhanced DBS on the update service, and a kind, loving mother of three children relocated from London. I am very passionate about my career in childcare. As a mother, I understand the importance of nurturing and caring for children, and I always offer this level of care to every child in my setting. I have over 13 years of experience caring for my own children as well as others, ranging from newborns to 13-year-olds. I am patient, warm, and above all, motivating and encouraging.
I am a confident home cook with current knowledge of healthy cooking principles, as well as creative and eager to build strong partnerships with the whole family.
Key aspects of my childminding service include:
Helping with reading and homework support.
School drop-offs and pick-ups.
Outings to parks, playgroups, farms, zoos, woods, water parks, and after-school activities.
Healthy meal planning and preparation.
A little more about me: I am a trained caterer, so I love baking, cooking both traditional Ghanaian and continental dishes, and experimenting with fondants to make fun character cakes! I also enjoy reading about nutrition and watching investigative movies.
I am passionate about creating an enabling, home-from-home environment using the Montessori approach alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support children's Physical, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED).

I have over 14 years of experience looking after my children and other children as well. I've looked after children from as young as newborns to as old as 14 years.

- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Extra household duties rates are negotiable. You can also pay me with childcare vouchers.

We had the pleasure of having Abena look after my 8-year-old daughter for two full days, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Abena was incredibly flexible, punctual, reliable, and caring throughout. She has a lovely, friendly manner, and my daughter warmed up to her very quickly, which speaks volumes about her approach with children. It’s not easy to find someone you can trust and leave your children with each day but finding Abena was a dream come true for my family and we cherish her so much.
Abena has a wonderful personality and is child friendly and we’re thrilled to have found her. She makes lovely meals everyday and my kids enjoy them so much, not to even talk about her baking skills with all the beautiful fondants flowers which brings out the creativity in my kids daily activities and I can testify that this has greatly improved their learning and developmental skills.
Abena has a range of activities everyday that encourages my children with different age groups to participate. There's no doubt that she simply loves looking after little ones.
I would always endorse Abena as a nanny over and over again because she’s our life saver and my children are always looking out for her every time we're in London.
