About me:

I am a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator. I've been working with children aged 0-5 at a nursery in Exeter for the past 2.5 years and have recently left and moved to Plymouth to start a Speech & Language Therapy degree (specialising in children). I'm looking for babysitting/ nanny jobs to take on during my free days in the week.

I'm a hugely family-oriented person and have always Ioved looking after children. I am very passionate about SEND as well as Speech & Language needs and am always looking for ways to develop my practice to support children with these needs. I have a variety of experience with both of those things and will always communicate with the family to find out which approach will suit their little one best.

In my free time I love to go on dog walks, swim and spend time with my partner, usually outdoors, watching movies or enjoying a nice meal. I am fluent in Polish (my mother tongue) and can speak a little bit of Spanish. I love travelling, too! Additionally, I love to use Makaton and can communicate using the BSL alphabet too.

My experience:

I am a Level 3 Early Years Educator with Paediatric First Aid and am DBS checked. I have 2.5 years experience with children aged 0-5 in a nursery setting but have been babysitting and caring for children outside of a professional setting for longer.

Most recently, I've been a part-time nanny for a family with a now 1 year old baby girl and 3 year old boy alongside my nursery job and have been with them for a little over a year, leaving only due to relocating.

At my nursery I was based in the 2-5 room and specialised in Preschool (3-5). However, I worked in the baby too and have experience with babies as young as 3 months. I have various experience with SEND children, children with hearing difficulties and children who have Speech & Language needs or have been in SALT. I cared for children with various allergies, dietary requirements and preferences and have taken additional training in using an Epi-Pen in emergency situations. My babysitting style is very homely and loving and I make sure to adapt that to every child's individual needs to make them feel as safe as possible! I'm a big believer in working with the parents and upholding family values, rules and routine rather than just implementing my own.

My availability:

I am available all day (morning, afternoon and evening) on Wednesdays and Fridays. I am also available on Sunday evenings.
