About Me

We are 2 professionals with a toddler and 2 dogs

My Requirements

Housekeeper
Part Time Nanny

Hiring: Part-Time Housekeeper / Family Assistant (Child & Dog Friendly)
- Location: Wood Green, London
- Schedule: 15 Hours Per Week, 6 months contract
- Compensation: £15-20 Gross per hour, depending on experience.

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and dog-loving Housekeeper / Family Assistant to ensure our home runs smoothly.

While this role includes caring for our 1-year-old (approx. 4-6 hours per week), your primary focus (70%) will be household management, cleaning, and exercising the family dogs. We are looking for someone who takes pride in a clean home but is equally happy to "switch gears" and provide loving care to a toddler when needed.

Key Responsibilities
1. Housekeeping & Organization (primary focus)
- General Cleaning: Cleaning all the living areas (vacuum regularly and mopping 1x per week). Clean the ground floor 2x per week, and other floors 1x per week. Tidy the garden patio 1x per week.
- Laundry: Family laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away) and changing bed linens.

2. Pet Care (daily requirement)
- Take our 2 dogs (Keeshond 11yrs, Terrier mix 3yrs) for regular walks (approx. 30-45min minutes daily) regardless of weather.
- Care: Feeding, refreshing water, and wiping paws after walks. Transporting to vet/groomer appointments if necessary.
- Note: You must be comfortable managing the dogs and the child simultaneously when required while they are all at home. However you are not expected to walk the dogs while looking after the child.

3. Childcare support (Approx 4-6hrs per week)
- Look after our 1-year old for short periods (while parents finish meetings, let parent(s) have child-free time in the afternoon)
- Duties: Engage in age-appropriate developmental play (reading, sensory play, outdoor time, no screens), giving a snack or meal.
- Note: When you are with the child, your sole focus is their safety and happiness; housekeeping and pet care tasks are paused.
4. Errands and admin
- Meal Prep: Chopping vegetables, preparing simple lunches/dinners, or preparing meals / snacks for the child.
- Errands: Pick up / drop off parcels, prescriptions, donations. Be in the house for other vendor appointments (plumber, gardener, etc.)

Additional hours & Sick care Ad-Hoc & Sick Care (Additional Hours)
- While this is a 15-hour contract, we value flexibility.
- From time to time, the we may request additional hours (such as morning coverage) - this can be due to a sick child who cannot attend nursery, nursery closure or when a parent is traveling (one parent regularly travels).
- These hours are subject to mutual agreement and the Employee's availability.
- Income Protection: We understand the risk of caring for a sick child. If you cover a sick day at our request and subsequently fall ill with the same bug, we offer full pay protection of up to 3 days for your resulting sick leave (waiving statutory waiting days).

Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a professional Housekeeper or Nanny-Housekeeper.
- Child Confidence: You do not need to be a "career nanny," but you must have verified experience with toddlers and be confident ensuring their safety.
- Dog Lover: Must be happy walking dogs in all London weather, and can handle 2 dogs (1 large)
- Proactive: You are someone who sees a job that needs doing and handles it without needing a checklist.
- Documentation: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply) and Right to Work in the UK.
