About Me
Hey! Im Nia based in EH42 & EH15 & I am a fully qualified Nursery practitioner and a fully qualified Skin specialist offering Facials & Japanese head spa treatments in my little salon in Brunsfield. I grew up up in Portobello/Joppa with my mum, dad and 2 brothers and attended Portobello high school. I would describe myself as a very friendly, approachable person with a big heart! I really love working with children, nurturing and caring for them, watching them grow and hitting their milestones. I am also very energetic, from working in a nursery full time for 4 years i have worked with all different age groups! I have done babysitting before to and also look after my nieces and nephews all the time, i bake with them, take them swimming, take them out for food, take them to the park, anything they want Auntie Nia is there!They are age 2,4,7,8 years old.
I am more than happy to meet and discuss things over & i am also very flexible!

I have been working in a nursery for 4 years now and have also done serval baby sittings in the past and I look after my nieces and nephews very regularly.
What do you love most about babysitting / childcare?
I love childcare just by looking after children and caring for them and also reliving my childhood by going on spontaneous trips with my little people to have some fun!
What would you say is the hardest part about babysitting / childcare?
It can be challenging at times! But wouldn't change it!
What are your favourite activities to do with kids?
Swimming, Woodland Walks, Going to the park, Baking and cooking, Making play dough, Singing and Dancing!
Based on the children I will do what they are interested in.
I love baking/cooking myself so I love bringing that into the learning and play of children.
What are your favourite kids' books?
The Gruffalo!

Nia was able to build a better raport with our baby than any of the other nannies we hired during the last two weeks of my partner’s studies—that’s out of at least ten nannies total. Rowan, our one-year-old, treated her as part of the family and screamed with delight when she arrived in the mornings. Nia was one of only two nannies Rowan and I felt confident enough in that I let her take him out solo. On their solo walks, she was immediately available via phone, and she sent pictures of him playing and having a great time as well. Nia was always on time and had a lot of availability compared to other nannies, and she was willing to run errands, help with household chores, and cook. She is personable, adapts to meet your baby’s unique needs, and is responsible. Our favorite of the nannies we’ve worked with!
