About Me
Hello! I am Rachel and the person behind Nurture & Blossom. I live in Blackwater, Camberley with my husband, daughter and cockapoo dog.
I opened the doors to Nurture & Blossom at the start of March 2025, we are an outgoing setting and get out daily in either the fresh air for a daily dose of nature, or into the community for an activity. A typical day for us is an outing in the morning followed by a planned activity and child led play in the afternoon.
I am extremely passionate about delivering a high level of care and providing lots of learning opportunities for the children. We love being outdoors and getting our bodies moving. I cook homemade nutritious meals for the children and I am a big believer in the importance nature, exercise and healthy eating has on the wellbeing of the children.
The children in the setting are very much treated as an extension of our family and we provide a nurturing environment to enable them to become happy, confident, independent children ready to start school.
My Experience
I registered with Ofsted in January 2025 and opened the doors to Nurture & Blossom at the start of March 2025. Prior to this I have completed Level 2 Child Development and spent time as a childminders assistant in half terms. I also grew up in a childminding environment as my mother was a childminder. Since having my daughter it has reignited my passion of working with children.

My opening hours are from 07:45 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday.
I also offer wrap around childcare within these hours and childcare for school holidays only.

- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour

Rachel is truly brilliant. She has looked after all three of our children and she has been nothing short of exceptional, particularly with our youngest who is with Rachel four days a week. Rachel takes the children out most days, in all weathers, and the progress in our youngest child’s speech and physical development has soared through the plethora of activities and outings Rachel takes her on. Before meeting Rachel, my husband and I were wary to use a childminder after an awful experience with one we had previously used but Rachel was very understanding, offering reassurance and regular updates and she has treated our children like an extension of her own family. Rachel really engages with all the children in her care and it’s abundantly clear how much the children enjoy being in her company. We greatly value Rachel and her gentle and nurturing approach to looking after our children and she really is nothing short of outstanding.
