About Me

My name is Thomas, I am a freelance Composer and Sound Designer in Edinburgh. My partner Ellie is a software developer and we have a wonderful 10 month old son called Ira. He's currently just learnt to crawl and is climbing and exploring lots of new things. He's a very sweet chilled and cheerful little guy and we're currently in the search for some childcare support when my partner returns to work.

Wonderful Caring Childminder

Simonetta looked after our son from the time he was 14 months old and she is absolutely incredible. We were genuinely heartbroken to lose her as a childminder when we moved away from Edinburgh.
Our son, Ira, took a little while to settle in, but Simonetta was always so kind, loving and patient with him. She greeted us every day with the warmest, friendliest smile, which instantly put both Ira and us at ease.

Ira truly felt like part of the family, which is exactly why we chose a childminder over a nursery. We loved receiving videos of Simonetta’s daughter reading to him and seeing how naturally included and cared for he was. Simonetta also took the children out regularly — we loved seeing photos of their trips to the library, the park, and all the other adventures they went on.
She was also great at organising creative, messy play activities and always kept the days fun, engaging and stimulating. We miss Simonetta and cannot recommend her highly enough!
