About Me

I have worked with children from when I was a teenager and I have been told I’m creative, kind, organised and reliable. I teach part-time and, now that both my children are at school, I’m looking to tutor home schooled children or to do ad hoc nannying. I love getting to know families and seeing children happy and thriving.

My Experience

I am an experienced primary school teacher and have taught nursery to Year 6 over the last 20 years, with most of my experience in the early years and Key Stage 1. I have also au paired, babysat and tutored different age children.
I have lots of experience working with neurodiverse children and supporting different learning needs.

My Qualifications

I have a Bachelor of Education degree and Qualified Teachers Status. I did a course on Teaching English as an Additional Language which I used to volunteer as a tutor for a home school project.
I have a current paediatric first aid certificate, prevent and safe guarding training. I have done lots of courses on children’s well-being and SEN and I’m DBS checked.

My Availability

I am available on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday during school hours in term time. I am happy to do ad hoc childcare.
