The Best Childminder!

I have been lucky enough to have Samiya in my life for the past 12 years, and I can honestly say that she is not just a childminder, but a beloved part of our family. From the very first time we visited her home when my son was just six months old, I knew she was the one to care for him, and little did I know, she would go on to become a huge influence in the lives of my other children as well.

We initially turned to Samiya after a series of frustrating experiences with nurseries, and the moment I stepped into her warm, welcoming home, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. Since then, my children—now aged 12, 6, and 3—have been with her through all the stages of their lives, from babies to now, attending her care after school and during school holidays.

One of the things that makes Samiya truly special is the deep, lifelong friendships that have formed through her care. My eldest has made friends at Samiya’s who he still stays in touch with, from group chats to sleepovers. These bonds are a testament to the nurturing and loving environment Samiya provides.

Beyond just childcare, Samiya has been a constant source of support and stability through both our family's highs and lows. She was there for me during difficult times, even risking her own health during the pandemic to ensure my children were safe and cared for. She has been patient with me during my parenting phases—like when I was insistent on no sugar for my eldest, something we laugh about now as my youngest enjoys sugar for breakfast. She has also been a pillar of support through tough times at school and challenges at home.

Samiya’s impact goes far beyond simply caring for the children. She has played a huge role in shaping their manners, kindness, and social skills. They are polite, considerate, and well-mannered, and I know a large part of that is thanks to her positive influence.

Her commitment to the children is unwavering. She organises fantastic trips, rain or shine, and ensures they have fun and enriching experiences. Her homecooked meals are a highlight for my children, and she always goes the extra mile when it comes to flexibility with pick-ups and drop-offs. Samiya is reliable, thoughtful, and truly cares about each child’s well-being.

I cannot imagine our lives without Samiya, and I feel incredibly fortunate that she has been such an integral part of our family. She is truly one in a million, and I am forever grateful for her love, support, and everything she does for us.
