About Me
I am a kind, caring and enthusiastic individual who loves kids! I have a degree in Primary Education, and I have experience working as a Reception class teacher. I have also worked in many childcare and nursery settings, caring for children from 3months - 4 years.
I've always enjoyed looking after children as they have so much to offer the world! I'm aware of how important it is for children to have a high standard of kind and compassionate care, and I endeavour to provide that at all times and in all my interactions with children.
I am creative, and my hobbies include music, jewellery making, arts and crafts, dance and sport, and I love to bring these activities into the mix whilst working with kids. I am also familiar with the EYFS national curriculum, so can provide help with homework and home learning.
My Experience
I have 3 years of experience working in schools and nurseries, having worked with children with a variety of needs and at different development stages.
During my time as a reception class teacher, I became experienced in working with children with SEND, specifically autism and speech and language difficulties, and became competent with using alternative forms of communication.
Through this role I also developed thorough knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and can therefore help with, reading, writing phonics and maths if needed!
I have also worked as a nursery practitioner for 2 years, predominantly with babies and toddlers aged 3months-4 years. Here I was responsible for planning and delivering small group activities, organising the continuous provision and taking care of nap times and feeding times.
My Qualifications
PGDipEd Education, DBS, Safeguarding Certificate, TEFL.
My Availability
Available for ad-hoc babysitting during school holidays!
