About Me
Hello! I'm Emily! As of July, I will be a graduate of business management from the university of Sheffield. I'm moving back to Manchester, where I'm from, and will start a part time internship with my church for one year. In this year, I'm looking to work as a nanny too as I love to serve and bless others, and enjoy working with children. My hobbies include baking (especially fresh sourdough bread!), sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading and playing the guitar! I also love learning languages, and I'm currently learning Arabic and French.
My Experience
I have worked with children since I was 10, helping out with Sunday school and I started babysitting when I was 14. Throughout high school and sixth form, I volunteered at local primary schools where I helped with the reading programmes for the younger years. During my gap year, I moved to Athens and worked in a nursery for Roma children on a settlement for 3 months. After that, I moved to Turkey and volunteered with a Christian organisation that ran a community centre for Syrian refugees. During my time there, I helped with the children's group and I returned a year later to run an English summer programme for the Syrian children. After I graduate, I will be completing a part time internship with my church which will focus on children's work. The church will also provide me with a DBS.
My Qualifications
I have 10 GCSEs , 3 A-levels (A*, A*, A*), Business Management BA Hons (in progress, but will be obtained by July)
My Availability
I will only be able to start working in August/September 2025, as I still have to complete my last year of university. As my internship is flexible and I can work in my own hours, I can be readily available whenever. However, I will not be able to work Sundays.
