About Me
I am at present a Maths teacher and head of key stage 3 with 26 years teaching experience looking to get out of teaching, but still work with children. I have taught students in years 5 to 11 - including a range of both academic abilities and special educational needs. Along with my teaching degree, I also have a Food Service Management degree and all my safeguarding training (KCSIE and Prevent) are up to date. I am mum to 2 children (now adults!) - a teacher and an Aerospace engineering student at Nottingham University. I hold a full driver's licence and will be travelling in everyday from Leighton Buzzard as I am a registered carer for my husband, who has a TBI but is still able to work and be independent.
My Experience
As an educator I have had experience of working with students with a range of SEN, but as a Maths teacher I have a great understanding of Autism. I have experience of planning and preparing of balanced meals in both a home and a hospital setting and , as a mum, childcare is second nature.
My Qualifications
Food Service Management Diploma (naric compared to foundation degree)
Post graduate degree in education
My Availability
As I am currently teaching I would need to give notice by May half term for September start but may be able to start earlier - at the school's discretion.
