About Me
Hi! I’m Rose, and I’m currently in my third year at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Early Years and Primary Education. I’ll be starting my Master’s degree in Early Years Education in September 2026 and will be offering babysitting and tutoring throughout the 2026 summer holidays and on weekends from then onwards.
I’m DBS checked, currently training in children’s first aid, and have experience supporting children with SEND. I also have a specialism in EAL (English as an Additional Language) and language development, and I’m completing a course in supporting newborns. Through my degree, I’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of child development from birth to age 7.
I love planning fun, engaging, and meaningful activities that spark curiosity, as well as cooking healthy meals and encouraging a love of reading. I’m friendly, energetic, and dedicated to helping children learn, grow, and have fun!
Please note: I’m not currently taking on babysitting jobs until summer 2026, but I’m looking forward to connecting with families closer to then! Also I do not have a car, so will be unavailable for pick ups or drop offs unless in walking distance.
My Experience
Throughout my university studies in Early Years and Primary Education and my practical experience in both school placements and multiple nursery settings, I have developed significant experience working with young children. This experience includes caring for babies as young as 6 months and children up to 5 years old, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of early childhood development. I am confident in my ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate and engaging activities that promote children's development across various learning areas from ages 3-12. I prioritise fostering positive and nurturing relationships with children, ensuring their emotional well-being and creating a safe and supportive atmosphere. My key skills include adaptability, strong communication (both with children and adults), and a proactive and responsible approach to childcare. I am committed to maintaining a safe environment through my safeguarding training and am equipped to support children with diverse needs, including those with SEND. I am also in the process of obtaining my children’s first aid qualification.
