Hi! I’m Katyayini, but you can call me Kat if it’s easier. I’m currently studying MSc Advanced Professional Practice in Nursing at the University of Plymouth, and alongside my studies, I’m looking to connect with local families who need a kind, trustworthy babysitter.
I’ve worked in healthcare for several years, back home I was a registered nurse, and I’ve had lots of hands-on experience caring for children, including newborns, toddlers, and kids with special needs. But beyond all that, I just really enjoy being around children their energy, curiosity, and honesty are refreshing, and I always try to create a warm, fun, and safe space for them.
Outside of work and study, I love baking, going to the gym, and exploring new places around the city. I’m someone who’s calm in a crisis, quick to laugh, and very tuned in to the little details that matter especially when it comes to looking after little ones.
My Experience

• MSc Advanced Professional Practice (Nursing) – currently studying at the University of Plymouth
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing – graduated with first-class honors from Chitkara University, India
• Registered Nurse and Midwife – with over 1,000 hours of hands-on clinical training
• Level 2 Care Certificate (UK) – covering safeguarding, infection control, communication, and person-centered care
• First Aid and CPR Training – fully trained to handle emergencies with calm and confidence
• Extensive experience in pediatric wards, NICU, and special needs care – including children with developmental or mental health conditions
• Fluent in English – with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
I combine my clinical knowledge with a warm, caring approach to help children feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.
My Availability
I’m based in Plymouth (PL1) and currently available for:
• Weekdays- anytime
• Occasional weekend coverage (depending on my work schedule)
• School holidays or short-notice bookings with some advance notice
Since I usually work weekends, my availability there is limited but I’m always happy to chat and see if we can make something work!
