Hi, I’m Emily,
I’m originally from Guernsey and have built a strong network of families on the island through nannying and babysitting, with many of my roles coming through recommendation. I really value becoming a trusted, reliable part of family life and creating a calm, happy environment where children feel completely at ease.
Last summer, I worked in a consistent, part-time role caring for a young boy, often independently managing his daily routine, activities, and overall care. It was a genuinely rewarding experience and gave me a high level of hands-on responsibility, while building a close, trusted relationship with both him and his family. Alongside this, I supported several other families with babysitting and ad-hoc childcare.
I’m currently studying Interior Architecture at Oxford Brookes University and now live in Cheshire, but I return to Guernsey regularly to spend time with friends and family, and to continue working with families I’ve built relationships with over time.
I offer babysitting, ad-hoc childcare, and holiday support, with availability over the summer for more consistent or full-time roles. As I plan my time on island in advance, my availability can become limited - particularly during busier periods - so I always recommend getting in touch early where possible.
I have a full UK driving licence and my own car, and I’m very happy to help with school runs, activities, days out, and general day-to-day support; I’m always happy to do a food shop!
I’m organised, calm, and proactive, and I bring a positive, caring approach to every family I work with. I’m also happy to assist with dog walking or pet sitting, whilst you’re on holiday, if needed.
I appreciate the families I work with and enjoy being able to support them in a way that feels both helpful and dependable.

My Experience
Caring for the little boy last summer was my main role, where I independently managed his days and routines, while also supporting a few other families alongside.
Growing up in Guernsey meant naturally incorporating that into our time together - from beach and pool days to bike rides, walks with his dog, and slower moments at home preparing meals or baking, arts and crafts, taking him on play dates, trips to other islands, taking him horse riding and much more. I enjoyed creating thoughtful, well-paced days, often including small outings and also preparing picnics for boat trips, making the most of island life in a way that felt both relaxed and engaging
My Qualifications
I attended Blanchelande College in Guernsey for my schooling, where I completed my GCSEs, before going on to achieve a Level 3 OCR Extended Diploma in Fashion and Textiles at sixth form achieving the highest grade of A’s equivalent and I am currently in my first year studying Interior Architecture at Oxford Brookes University.
My Availability
I provide reliable, attentive childcare tailored to each family’s routine, including after-school care, babysitting, and holiday support. I’m confident managing daily routines, planning engaging activities, and creating a calm, structured environment where children feel comfortable and well cared for.
I’m happy to support with light tutoring and homework, encouraging a positive and focused approach to learning. I also assist with day-to-day household tasks such as preparing meals, tidying children’s spaces, laundry, food shopping, and keeping things running smoothly. I’m flexible and always aim to adapt to each family’s individual needs.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
Happy to agree an appropriate fee for my role.
