About Me

Before I became a mother I worked as a veterinary surgeon and scientist, but decided after my son was born that I wanted to have a job where he could be with me. We both love nannying and I find the children in my care and my son, now two years old, get a lot out of spending time with each other.

I am confident with young kids and am reliable, hard-working and kind. I follow a gentle parenting philosophy and don't use screens. I am experienced with baby-led weaning, babywearing, reusable nappies and using a potty with babies. I am happy to do contact naps if this is what your child is used to. I like to get out and about with the kids to the park, the woods, playgroups, play cafes and the library.

My Experience

As well as raising my own son, I've looked after similar-aged and younger children alongside him for the past year. Before becoming a mother, my work involved teaching and mentoring school kids.

My Qualifications

I don't have any childcare-specific qualifications but am a qualified veterinary surgeon. I am open to becoming Ofsted-registered if that's important to you.

My Availability

I am currently only looking to work one day a week (any day except for Thursday and Friday) between 9.30am and 5.30pm, on an ad hoc or regular basis.

Sam helped us for several months look after our baby and found she was relaible, friendly and very good with our boy. Sam came up with fun days out and we felt our son was well looked after! good communication and everything you would hope for.
