My Experience

I have several years of hands-on experience working with children in a variety of settings, including as a childminder, teaching assistant, and private nanny. Each role has given me valuable insight into children’s development, behaviour, and emotional needs.

I started out as a childminder, caring for children in home environments where I handled everything from preparing meals and planning fun activities to supporting with routines like school runs, nap times, and bedtime. I’ve worked with children of different age groups, including babies, toddlers, and school-aged children.

Later, I worked as a teaching assistant, where I supported children in the classroom—helping with reading, writing, learning tasks, and emotional support. I developed strong skills in communication, patience, and classroom management, and worked closely with teachers, parents, and SEN staff to meet the unique needs of each child.

In addition, I’ve spent over 4 years working with platforms like Housekeep and Wecasa, where I provided professional domestic support. This experience has helped me become highly organised, respectful of people’s homes, and confident balancing cleaning and childcare responsibilities when needed.

My Qualifications

I’m a qualified and passionate childcare provider with a fully up-to-date DBS check and a strong background in supporting children’s development in both home and educational settings.

I have hands-on experience as a childminder and have worked as a teaching assistant, where I supported children with their learning, emotional wellbeing, and daily routines in a school environment. This has given me excellent insight into child behaviour, learning styles, and how to create a safe and engaging space for children of all ages.

In addition to my experience, I hold a Level 3 certificate in Health and Social Care, which has deepened my understanding of safeguarding, child development, and effective communication with families. I’m also currently studying nursing, which reflects my long-term commitment to care and supporting others—especially children and vulnerable individuals.
