My Summary
Part Time Nanny/Childminder And Primary-Age Private Tutor
About Me
I am a 59 year old mother of a 12 year old boy and also have grown up children, no longer living at home.
I currently look after a toddler in the family home 2 days a week (Monday and Wednesday) and am looking for a similar part time role to supplement my income (no weekends, due to family commitments).
I specialise in Early Years education but have also had experience of teaching primary age children. I am nurturing, creative, fun-loving and compassionate.
I can work flexibly and independently, with day to day care, educational play and activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, bathing etc. I would be available for pick up and drop offs, after school care, homework help and would also be interested in tutoring roles at primary level.
I enjoy walking in nature, reading, film, theatre and art, listening to music and local history.
I have my own transport, hold a valid driving license and am insured to drive. I have a current DBS certificate, updated yearly. I am a non-smoker and comfortable around pets.
I am not Ofsted Registered but can provide references and a wealth of experience.
My Experience
As well as having raised a family, my focus has mainly revolved around childcare and education, having trained and qualified as a primary school teacher, facilitating the learning and development of EYFS and KS1 children for 13 years. I also worked as an Early Years Practitioner in daycare settings for 6 years.
In addition, I trained and qualified as a PCSO for the Metropolitan Police Service, working in a public-facing role for a Safer Neighbourhoods Team, involving community safety, care, reassurance and liaison with multiple agencies. I kept this role for over 5 years before moving to the North East.
For the past 6 years, I have worked as a private nanny/childminder in the family home.
