About Me
Hi there! My name's Mia, and I am 22 years old. I'm currently in my second year of studying to become a primary school teacher—something I'm incredibly passionate about and truly love doing.
Alongside my studies, I've gained valuable experience working at an after-school club, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of how to support and engage young children. Right now, I'm on placement in a Year 1 class, which has been such a rewarding experience. My placement finishes on the 6th of June, and I'll be available for babysitting until mid-September.
I'd be absolutely thrilled to enrich children's lives through babysitting—whether it's helping with homework, creative play, or simply providing a fun, safe environment. I'm based in Worthing, but I'm more than happy to travel as I can drive.
Outside of teaching, I'm an animal lover ! I also love exploring new places and recently had the amazing opportunity to travel and teach in Thailand. I'd describe myself as a bubbly, friendly person who's always willing to go the extra mile.
My Experience
After finishing college, I worked as a teaching assistant for two years. During that time, I supported classroom learning, helped with planning and delivering activities, and provided one-on-one support to children who needed a little extra help. These responsibilities translate seamlessly into babysitting, where being patient, attentive, and able to keep children engaged is so important.
Following that, I enrolled at university to study primary education, and so far, I've completed three teaching placements. My current placement is an 8-week experience in a Year 1 classroom, where I'm gaining valuable insight into lesson planning, classroom management, and the day-to-day routines of early primary education.
Alongside my studies, I've also worked consistently at an after-school club. This role has given me hands-on experience with children in a more relaxed, play-based setting. I'm very used to handling busy, energetic environments, and I'm definitely not shy of messy play, outdoor games, or helping with homework!
