My Experience

Hi, I’m Kirsty!
I’m passionate about building children’s confidence and making learning fun. I truly believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. I take inspiration from Montessori principles, encouraging children to move, explore, and learn through hands-on experiences because that’s when learning really sticks.

My lessons are designed to ignite curiosity and foster a genuine love for learning, making education exciting, memorable, and something to be proud of. Whether it’s using practical resources to grasp tricky maths concepts, diving into stories in a cosy reading corner, or exploring the wonders of science, I aim to create an environment where children feel free to discover and grow.

I’ve been a qualified primary teacher for 12 years after graduating from the University of Gloucestershire with a PGCE in Primary Education. Before that, I was Chemical Kirsty, a Mad Scientist bringing primary science to life with spectacular experiments.

Whether it’s boosting confidence, building key skills, or simply making learning joyful, I’m here to support your child every step of the way.

My Availability

I have availability during the day and am flexible to travel to your location, or you’re very welcome to come to me. After school, I offer sessions from my dedicated classroom at my home in Churchdown. This provides a comfortable, well-equipped space where children can feel at ease and ready to learn.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £35.00 per hour

I travel to locations within Cheltenham and Gloucester, with a small travel fee of £5. My hourly rates start from £35. If you’d prefer, you’re also welcome to come to my home classroom in Churchdown - whatever works best for you and your child.
