My Summary

My Experience

My experience with childcare began within my own family. I started by babysitting for my younger relatives, and that’s when I discovered how much I truly enjoy being around children and taking care of them. I realized I had a natural ability to connect with kids — to make them feel safe, entertained, and happy.

Back in Portugal, I often looked after the babies and children of family friends. They trusted me because they saw how comfortable their kids were with me. At that time, I didn’t even charge for babysitting — I simply enjoyed spending time with the little ones. It was fun for them and just as rewarding for me, filled with laughter, learning, and creative play.

Now in London, while studying Theatre at the University of West London, I also work part-time as a hotel receptionist. This role has helped me strengthen my communication and multitasking skills. I’ve even had the opportunity to care for the children of a regular guest. Each time they stay, I look after their kids while managing my reception duties. It’s something I love doing and that has added to my experience with children in a more professional setting.

My Qualifications

I’m currently a university student in London, studying Theatre at the University of West London. Before moving here, I completed all my studies in Portugal, finishing high school at a professional theatre school. My background in performance has given me strong communication, creativity, and adaptability skills — all of which are incredibly valuable when working with children.

In Portugal, I also gained work experience as a waitress and as a circus performer. One of the most unforgettable moments in my journey was being invited to perform at an international circus event. My role was to entertain and engage with a large group of children while the other performers prepared. I played games, made them laugh, and kept them happy and entertained, it was a big responsibility and a wonderful experience that showed me how much I enjoy working with kids and how naturally it comes to me.

These experiences, combined with my ongoing theatre training, have shaped me into someone who is energetic, fun, reliable, and well-equipped to care for and entertain children in a meaningful way.

My Availability

At the moment, I'm on holiday from university, which gives me plenty of free time to focus on babysitting. I currently work part-time at a hotel on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

This means I’m fully available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, at any time of the day that’s needed. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to adapt to your family’s schedule!
