Hi there! I’m sabrina and i’m 20 years old.
I’m currently studying an undergraduate degree in law so i’m aware i may sound inexperienced however i’ve been involved with taking care of infants upto 6 since i was 15. I absolutely love children so much so that my mum had told me that i would try to take care of children when i was at nursery myself!
my hobbies are:
doing sports ( badminton and swimming mainly)
reading
doing art
being around nature
being in a social setting ( i love having a good conversation with someone)
I am trying to look for a temporary job available for the summer to get a source of income to help me with my finances before i start my academic year so preferably a duration of a job lasting upto October. I would love to take on this job out of many others as i’m fond of children and know that i will enjoy it a lot!
My Experience
My first experience was talking care of year 1s and reception infants during school lunches and breaks while i was 15. This was purely voluntary as this time was taken out of my own school breaks but i enjoyed it a lot as we got to bond with the infants and play with them. I was able to earn their trust as i noticed the next times i would be there they were more excited to see me and play with me.
My second experience was being a youth mentor for younger students at my sixth form and i did that for a year which involved having a private intimate session with them as they told me how they felt during school and what issues they were dealing with.
My third experience was being a youth leader in a extracurricular club after school where i was in charge of infants aged 1-6 and developed important skills of leadership and communication when telling them to quieten down or to listen when i’m speaking. I realised that the more trust you build the more you become someone they are attentive towards and so whenever i gently asked them to quieten down and behave they did that almost immediately.
I also became a member of staff for the infants at my local church when i went to university. I was able to get DBS checked here and I did this throughout the whole of my first year and here i worked with a variety of age groups. In the first half i worked with toddlers and slightly older years ( 5-8) and in the second half i worked with younger years (1-4) which involved me needing to take them to the lavatory and also cleaning up after them whenever they had a mess. ( i would also be able to do their hair for them when they allowed me to!)

My Availability
I am available 2-3 days a week working a max of 20-30 hours a week. ( If i am not needed on saturdays then i am flexible in changing that to a week day instead). I am available starting from next week and can work until the start/middle of October.
