Hi, I'm chika, I'm 22 years old and a recent graduate with experience working and volunteering for children. I do babysitting and childminding due to my genuine passion for working with children; seeing them laugh, learn, and grow is very rewarding. I also understand that parents deserve a little break or need the extra help and support; therefore, I am genuinely happy to offer my full time and energy! I can also do emergency babysitting locally. I am a positive and outgoing individual who loves to cook; therefore, tea times are not an issue, and due to my educational background, I can help with homework if that is needed.
My Experience
I have previous experience working in a reception class and helping alongside my mum at her toddler group, where I help set up toys, serve teas and coffees, and maintain a high cleanliness standard. I also support my mum, who is a childminder for a child with NONO syndrome, with whom we do fun activities in and out of the house. I am the eldest child and so have always had the responsibility to look after my youngest siblings when required. I additionally have experience living and working alongside neurodivergent individuals, and therefore, I am comfortable and confident in adapting to their individual needs.
My Qualifications
-I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology, attaining a first-class honours degree. I was additionally awarded the Ronnie Frankenburg award for outstanding dissertation, achieving the highest mark in the cohort
-I have a level 3 diploma in 'entry to the uniformed services', attaining a distinction star
I have 7x GCSEs, including maths and English
I have 2X Btech level 2 qualifications in Sport and Health and Social care, attaining a merit and distinction star
My Availability
I am very flexible; therefore, last-minute support can be offered. I can work weekdays and weekends, most hours.
