Hello, My name is Katie, I am 23 years old and I have over 7 years worth of childcare experience. I grew up in Seaford and I am now moving back to be with my family after spending 4 years living in Norwich. I am a thoughtful, caring and understanding person who finds so much joy in working with children. I am a good creative cook with experience in hospitality. I can provide your children with healthy, well rounded meals, catering to their dietary requirements. I am an actor and a writer so I am very imaginative with lots of games up my sleeve! I have a calming presence, and will create a loving, warm environment for them to thrive in. l take time to understand what approaches will give the kids the most emotionally supportive care day-to-day so they grow up happy and resilient. I am happy juggling the competing demands of the childcare role, the children will be happy and fed and the house left tidy!
My Experience
For a year I worked as a teaching assistant for 4-5 year olds doing 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. My responsibilities included imaginary and creative play, reading, tutoring and one on one teaching with SEN pupils. I also have lots of nannying/babysitting experience, looking after children from ages of 12 months - 14 years. For one example, I looked after two little girls (4 and 8) and my responsibilities included outdoor adventures, settling for bed, administering medication and cooking meals. I worked for that particular family for 8 hours, twice a week for 2 years. I have worked as a sailing instructor for kids aged 8-14, teaching children with patience and understanding whilst ensuing their safety and providing them with confidence.

I am currently working as a freelancer for the BBC so I am very flexible, my availability
will likely change from week to week but I am happy to work around you and your needs.
