About Me
I am a former nursery school teacher and experienced childcare professional. I love inspiring children's curiosity and bring a sense of fun (I do all the voices during story time!), empathy, and calm to the children I work with. I am available starting September 2026.
My Experience
I have supervised classrooms for children aged 3 to 5 years old, assisted infant and toddler carers, and worked in summer camp programs for children up to 8 years old. Students in my care have had special needs, including autism and William's Syndrome. I have also taught kindergarten and preschool curriculums. I have my pediatric first aid and CPR certification through the American Red Cross. During university, I worked as a mother's helper, nanny, and babysitter, and have tutoring experience in elementary school reading and phonics. I also am able to provide support with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
My Qualifications
I am qualified through the Massachusetts Early Childhood Certificate program. I also have my Red Cross Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. I have passed the American CORI check, but am happy to undergo a UK background check.
My Availability
I am currently a postgraduate student at the University of York and my availability is based on my class schedule. I am available to work up to 20 hours per week.
