About Me
Hi, I’m Tilly. We’re a small, friendly family based in Baffins on Langstone Road in Portsmouth.
Our son Albert is 15 months old. He is kind, cuddly and a very happy little boy. He is walking confidently and loves exploring, being outdoors and interacting with people. He is not saying many words yet, but he communicates well in his own way and is full of personality.
He currently attends nursery on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 6pm.
My partner Chris and I run our own tech business, which means we attend industry events and meetings, often in London and sometimes further afield. Family is very important to us and we are looking for someone we can genuinely trust to become part of Albert’s world.
We have a very affectionate golden retriever and a slightly moody cat, so being comfortable around pets is essential. We value calmness, reliability, kindness and open communication.
My Requirements
We are primarily looking for a nanny who is comfortable travelling with us.
The main role would be accompanying us to work events, which may be in London, elsewhere in England or occasionally Europe. During these trips, you would care for Albert while we attend meetings or events.
All travel, accommodation and food expenses would be covered. Accommodation would typically be a hotel or Airbnb where you would have your own sleeping space. We would pay a flat travel day rate and no overnight care would be needed and there would always be a sizeable break during the day.
This role would be ad hoc rather than fixed weekly hours. Dates may be planned in advance, though some flexibility is important due to the nature of our work.
In addition to travel, occasional evening babysitting at home, for example on a Friday or Saturday night, would be wonderful if you are available. On nursery days, there may also occasionally be pick up and evening care needed.
We are looking for someone experienced with toddlers, confident managing bedtime routines and night wakes, and comfortable travelling.
