My Experience

Before moving into childcare, I worked in the health and social care sector, where I built a strong foundation in delivering high-quality care. I began as a carer and progressed to become Head of Care and later a Registered Care Home Manager, overseeing the wellbeing of vulnerable adults and leading a team of care staff.

Through this experience, I developed key skills that transfer naturally to working with children, including:
• Creating safe, structured, and nurturing environments
• Managing care plans and routines
• Leading with compassion, patience, and attention to individual needs
• Handling emergencies calmly and effectively
• Communicating clearly with families and professionals

I am First Aid trained and Moving & Handling trained, and I hold a current enhanced DBS on the update service, which can be shared upon request.

As a mum myself, I combine my professional experience with a personal, hands-on understanding of what it takes to care for children with love, empathy, and consistency.

My Qualifications

I hold a strong set of qualifications and training that support my ability to provide safe, compassionate, and knowledgeable care for children:
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care – completed
• Level 2 Certificate in the Safe Handling of Medication – completed
• Currently Studying Psychology with The Open University – expanding my knowledge in child development and behaviour
• Currently Completing Level 2 in Understanding Learning Disabilities – gaining deeper insight into supporting individual needs
• First Aid Trained – confident in handling minor injuries and emergency situations
• Moving & Handling Trained – trained in safe lifting techniques
• Enhanced DBS Check – on the update service and available to view

With both practical experience and ongoing professional development, I bring a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to childcare.

My Availability

I offer flexible childcare on an as-and-when-required basis to suit your needs. Whether you need occasional support, emergency cover, or help during specific hours, I’m happy to work around what works best for your family.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

My fees are flexible and negotiable, depending on your individual needs, the number of children, and the hours required. I aim to offer affordable childcare that works for your family while reflecting the quality of care and experience I provide.
