Carl
Two nanny roles: live-in mornings/evenings and weekday daytime
About Me
We are a friendly family living in beautiful rural Norfolk, approximately five minutes from our nearest town, 30 minutes from Norwich and an hour from Cambridge.
Our lovely twin boys, Léon and Gabriel, are just over a year old. Both parents work in education and technology, with connections to Cambridge and its universities.
We are building a small, supportive childcare team around the boys and are looking for two wonderful people to help us: one covering mornings and evenings, ideally on a live-in basis, and another providing care during the working day.
We would love to find people who are warm, reliable and genuinely interested in helping the boys grow, explore and develop through play, outdoor activities, outings and everyday family life.
For the live-in role, we offer a private bedroom in our home and access to an automatic car. Both roles would involve working collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
My Requirements
We are recruiting for two complementary childcare roles supporting our one-year-old twin boys, Léon and Gabriel.
ROLE 1: LIVE-IN NANNY — MORNINGS AND EVENINGS
This role would suit someone who would enjoy becoming part of our family and helping with the boys at the beginning and end of the day.
Responsibilities would include supporting the morning routine, getting the boys ready for the day, and helping with evening activities, dinner, bath time and bedtime.
The successful candidate would have their own room in our home and access to an automatic car. Hours and days would be agreed in advance, with protected time off during the day when the daytime nanny is working.
ROLE 2: DAYTIME NANNY — WEEKDAYS
This role would suit an experienced nanny or childcare professional looking to work with the boys during the main working day, predominantly Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities would include age-appropriate play and learning, outdoor activities, local outings, meals, naps and supporting the boys’ development.
The daytime nanny would work closely with us and the morning/evening nanny to provide consistency, a reassuring routine and a happy, stimulating environment.
FOR BOTH ROLES
We are looking for kind, dependable people with experience caring for babies or toddlers. Experience with twins or looking after two young children together would be particularly welcome.
A full driving licence and confidence driving in rural Norfolk are important. Childcare qualifications, paediatric first-aid training, an enhanced DBS check and strong references are all highly desirable.
Applicants must have, or be able to obtain before starting, the legal right to work in the UK.
We are ideally looking for an October start, although there may be flexibility for the right candidates.
Please tell us which role interests you, when you would be available, whether you drive, and what experience you have with babies, toddlers or twins.

Dee is very professional and reliable. She has a wonderful rapport with children. We feel very lucky to have her support with our twins.
