About Me
I am a visiting scholar at the University of Leeds, and we are from China. I will be staying in Leeds with my 4-year-old daughter. She is a bright, cheerful, and talkative little girl, but she doesn’t speak much English yet.
My Requirements
We are looking for a kind and patient person to come to our home a few times a week to play with her, read stories, and help her get used to English through natural conversation and activities.
Details:
Child’s age: 4 years old
Care type: Babysitting / informal English tutoring at home
Schedule: Around [2 afternoons per week, flexible hours]
Start date: From [early November / your preferred date]
Requirements: Someone friendly, caring, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with young children in English
Language: Mainly English; speaking Mandarin would be a great bonus (to help with communication at the beginning)

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Adriana during our time in Leeds. From the very beginning, she showed genuine warmth, patience and attentiveness towards our daughter, Lumi. She took time to observe Lumi’s personality, emotions and preferences, and always responded to her with sensitivity and kindness.
What touched us most was how thoughtful Adriana was beyond day-to-day care. She noticed what Lumi loved and what comforted her, and even the gifts she prepared were perfectly chosen based on Lumi’s interests — it was clear they were selected with real care. Lumi absolutely loved them and still talks about them.
Adriana provides a warm, safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued. Even though our time with her was short, it was a truly positive experience and one we will always remember fondly. We would wholeheartedly recommend Adriana to any family.
