About Me
I am a 22 year old student at QMU studying to eventually become a primary school teacher when I graduate! I’ve been a Teaching Assistant for the last two years, and am so fond of working with children, I’ve missed it so much since I’ve moved to Edinburgh.
I’m super artistic, enthusiastic, and have lots of energy! I love creative activites and creating a space where children can feel confident and most of all, safe and Protected.
My Experience
Over the past two years, I’ve spent huge amounts of time with children from the ages of 3-11 but most predominantly nursery to year 3. Although I worked in an all girls school, we spent lots of time with the boys school also, and I feel completely confident with both genders.
I’ve dealt with lots of difficult behaviour, and completed various training days on neurodivergence and behaviour management, and feel very competent with some more tricky children!
I also had the privilege of being an interim lower school music teacher, which I hugely enjoyed. I’ve done my grades 1-8 in classical piano, so would be happy to help with any piano or general music practice that needs to be done too!
My Qualifications
- completed training in key stage 1-3 phonics
- completed training to understand neurodivergence
My Availability
Although not specified, I’d be happy to do the odd weekend whenever it’s helpful!
