About Me

My name is Laura, I am 31 years old, and I live in Leicester. I am playful, kind, caring and trustworthy. I have a deep understanding of child development, attachment theory and special educational needs, offering a range of skills in communication, creativity and child-centred work and play.

My Experience

I have worked with children for 14 years, in a range of sectors and settings. I have worked in nurseries, mainstream and resource-based primary and secondary schools, tutoring and SEN tutoring, residential children's homes, and, more recently, have completed a placement in a children's hospice. I have worked with infants, early childhood, middle childhood, pre-adolescents, adolescents and families.

My Qualifications

MSc in Play Therapy - Currently studying.
BA Joint (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and Counselling and Psychotherapy Principles and Practices - Awarded 2023.
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce - Awarded 2013.
