About Me
Hello there. My name is Benny I'm a 27 year old playworker based in Todmorden. I am someone who is very passionate about childcare, youth work and mainly Playwork and I am currently undergoing my degree in Childhood Development and Playwork.
As a person I am very warm, nurturing and creative. I love creating safe spaces for children to explore, play and create. I enjoy exploring nature and adventures outdoors or playing boardgames, doing art together. I love empowering and supporting them with their interests and passions, with a ‘if they like it I love it approach’.
I am thoughtful, caring and contentious with my approach to children, ensuring the space and environment is safe and kept tidy. With the vigilance of a mother, I ensure they are fed well, the space is maintained and their needs are met. Building trust and safety is a priority to me.
My Experience
I have over 5 years experience providing different types of youth provision to ages 5-16. I have run creative arts projects, intergenerational days, youth clubs, home schooling groups, democratic school and summer holiday provisions.
