My Experience
During the summer, I volunteered as a holiday camp monitor, where I worked with children aged 1 to 12 years old. In this role, I was responsible for supervising children, organising activities, ensuring their safety and providing care throughout the day.
In addition to my volunteer work, I have many years of informal childcare experience within my family. I am the eldest sibling and cousin, I have regularly taken care of my younger sister and cousins. This included helping with daily routines, meals, playtime, supervision and general care.
These experiences have helped me develop strong skills in responsibility, patience, communication and adaptability when caring for children of different ages and needs.
